Following on from last week this takes you're alternate picking to the next level
Learning to alternate pick is one of the most important techniques you need to learn to play the guitar.
This video supplements a chapter from my book where I go into great detail to get you on the right track.
In this video I teach you the riff from the Sweet Dreams by Marilyn Manson. This is a great riff to learn, It's based around power chords shapes. Moving around the guitar and picking different strings makes this a great exercise for both your picking and your fretting hand.
In this riff I will get you to focus on keeping a finger over each fret in the fretting hand and keeping your picking motion to a minimum for a more economic movement in your picking hand. This will help you develop speed in both hands as you move forward with your guitar playing.
Please check out my book where I go into this technique and so much more in great detail. Every chapter and technique has a song to learn which will cement everything I teach you. The book comes with 9 hours of video lessons and demonstrations as well as audio files for you to practice and play along to.
