Am guitar chord - 2 Minute Lesson.

Another good chord for beginner guitar players is Am 'A minor'

If you have already looked at the previous video or already know how to play the E chord you will see that this is the very same shape just placed on different strings.


So place your first finger on the 1st fret of the 2nd string.

Then your second finger goes on the 2nd fret of the 4th string, that finger will have to be back a little from the front of the fret to make room for the third finger.

The third finger goes on the 2nd fret of the 3rd string.


Am is only 5 strings, look at the x over the 6th string in the diagram below, this means you do not strum it. The 0 over the 5th string means you do include that string.


The notes of Am are

1 = A

b3 = C

5 = E
